Spicing Up A South Philadelphia Kitchen Remodel

This South Philadelphia kitchen needed a dash of spice and a major remodel. It felt small due to the adjoining coat closet and the homeowners wanted to transform it to a warm, welcoming space.
JR Carpentry & Tile removed the closet and expanded the kitchen to create a recessed area for the oven. The homeowners loves to entertain friends and family so we installed a double oven for maximum efficiency. Then we added a new coat closet so no storage was lost.
We created a contrasting dark/light color scheme. The cabinets are a glossy dark brown. To highlight the honey tones, we chose gold as the accent color.
The floor is a faux fabric woven design for a nature-inspired touch. Along the perimeter the gold leaf glass tile backsplash shimmers from every angle with its gold sparkle fleck in the grout.
The space issue was solved by creative thinking and this Philadelphia kitchen remodeling project turned out exactly as we designed. It’s welcoming, stylish, and capable of handling gatherings of any size.
