Life Made Easier With A New Walk-In Shower

Walk-In ShowerWhen we finish a job that looks good, we’re happy. When we finish a job that looks good and significantly improves the client’s quality of life, well, it doesn’t get much better than that.

JR Carpentry & Tile was asked to remove a bathtub from a home and replace it with a brand new tile shower. But not just any tile shower.

This particular job required special modifications in order for our elderly client to feel safe and confident using her shower space without assistance.

After removing the bathtub, we installed a walk-in shower, laying fresh tile on the walls and shower floor. Black accent tiles scattered along the walls make the shower stall look much more attractive than a single color might.

Solid blocking was set along the left and rear walls of the shower stall to allow for grab bars to be installed.

In addition to laying the tile stall, we made safety modifications to the shower itself. An anti-scald shower mixing valve was installed to prevent burns in case the water temperature is ever set too high. The end result is an attractive new walk-in shower with plenty of additional safety and support features.
