Starting From Scratch With Roxborough Kitchen Remodeling

Can you believe this is the same kitchen?
Take a look at these before and after photos from a recent Roxborough kitchen remodeling project that JR Carpentry & Tile completed.
As you can see, the original kitchen really needed a ton of TLC. And to do that, we had to undertake some serious demolition.
The project started with a full demolition of the existing kitchen cabinets, floors, and even the garage partition wall.
Once the original partition wall was removed, we framed a brand new wall deeper into the garage, which expanded the interior an extra 10 feet!
With all of this new space to work with, we were able to add a much-needed powder room to the layout.
A new ceiling was framed to make the new kitchen ceiling flat and level. We also rewired the kitchen to make room for appliances and to accommodate the brand new pendant lights hung from the ceiling.
We designed a pantry and refrigerator recess cabinet along the exterior wall of the house, an island cabinet for extra seating and work space, and brand new cabinets throughout.
To accent the cabinets, we decided to add a bit of under-cabinet lighting! We added some light rail crown molding, which gives the cabinets a sophisticated look in addition to brightening up the gorgeous new marble countertops.
Once construction was complete, we installed a brand new tile floor throughout the powder room and kitchen area, and gave all of the walls a fresh coat of paint. The woodwork was also painted to match the cabinet finish.
