Custom Fireplace & Barn Door In Bryn Mawr

To create the look you want, sometimes you have to use 100% custom materials.
That’s what a Bryn Mawr homeowner did and the end result couldn’t be more stunning.
They started out with a custom-made 51″ four panel barn door. The door was made by our friends over at Yellow Dog Woodworking. These guys are quite talented, and the gorgeous barn door looked amazing after the JR Carpentry & Tile team hung it up!
Barn doors are growing in popularity, and are a great way to add a touch of originality to the look of your home.
Once the door was hung, we moved on to the fireplace. The hearth was made from Brazilian slate and the surround was constructed out of stacked slate ledger. With the gorgeous stones in place, we mounted the custom-made mantle.
The mantle was made from poplar and stained by House Doctors. They did an amazing job matching the stain to the existing cabinetry which flanked the fireplace.
